To show how cheap and fast it is to travel between two cities with Deutsche Bahn, we created two visuals that each mash up cultural items connected to two different cities. The message: Try something new. The first image shows a Bembel, a jug for serving apple cider that is strongly linked to Frankfurt, combined with Kölsch, a beer from Cologne. The second image shows Klompjes, the traditional wooden shoes from Netherlands, combined with the texture and decoration of a Bembel. The pictures were printed on postcards and offered in various traditional locations (bars, restaurants etc.) for free. On the back they both promote the special City-to-City ticket.
